Coney Island Mermaid Parade

The Mermaid Parade is one of the wildest, weirdest, and most beautiful things New York has to offer—and I’ve been drawn to it for years. Held annually since 1983, it’s part costume pageant, part creative rebellion, part celebration of summer hitting Coney Island.

I've been attending and documenting the parade for a few years now, capturing the chaos, the characters, the glitter, and the joy that spills across the boardwalk and into the sea.
